The Scottsdale Crossing the Border Jazz Band leaves Scottsdale on Wednesday, March 12 heading to Alamos for the annual Alamos Jazz Festival.
To help promote attendance and create excitement for the 2025 Alamos Jazz Festival, the Scottsdale band will hold jazz concerts in Hermosillo and in Guaymas in cooperation with COBACH.
Special members of the band will be Mario Abney, Chicago Trumpet player and Renate Zupo, Hermosillo Sax player. And of course it will be Doc Jones, leader of the band.
Performances will be begin at 7:00 pm in Hermosillo's COBACH auditorium on March 13, in the Guaymas Conservatory of Music on March 14, and conclude at the ALAMOS JAZZ FESTIVAL in the Palacio on Saturday, March 15 beginning at 6:00 pm. All performances are free due in part to first time financial sponsor Scottsdale Sister Cities.
Everyone is invited. Come by car. Come by commercial bus. Or if nearby come by foot.
