Sister Cities Names Student Golfers as Youth Ambassadors to Killarney, Ireland
SSCA’s first participation in the Musical Instrument Museum’s annual Experience Ireland signature event on March 12-13, 2022 was a huge success. Over the two days, our exhibit table was staffed by 13 SSCA adult members and Junior Board/International Club students.
We showcased our sister city of Killarney of County Kerry and were able to share SSCA’s story and activities with many of the over 2,000 people who attended the event. The MIM’s shady courtyard was a wonderful setting for a talented cast of Irish musicians, singers and dancers from all over the Valley.
A HUGE Thank you to Tim H. Murphy who donated two stunning pieces of photographic artwork (Irish landscapes) to SSCA for this exhibit and future fundraising. And we couldn’t have done it without the help of SSCA members Max and Annette Rumbaugh, Joe and Cori Brett, Kathy George, JoAnn Garner, Susan Salembier, Janis Goldstein, Betty Dunn, and Terry Haines. And students Norielle Abts, Alexandra Sonne, and Emerson Randall.
