Twelve SSCA members joined the trip to Kingston, Canada from June 28 to July 2.
The group was welcomed by Mayor Paterson, and participated in Kingston’s Canada Day activities and walked in their parade. Mayor Pater-son was so welcoming, as was every Canadian they met. In addition to seeing many historical sights, they visit-ed Kingston’s Tett Center where SSCA students’ artwork were on exhibit. This grant-supported art ex-change (Kingston students’ artworks were on display at Mustang Library, was organized by SSCA board mem-ber Sandy Zally and Kingston’s Sandy Berg. To quote SSCA president, Lisa White, “[The trip] was so lovely. Gave me goosebumps.”
